VNS Therapy for Pharmacoresistant Epilepsy

 VNS Therapy has demonstrated significant success in treating paediatric patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex.¹ A multicentre study of VNS Therapy in children with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and pharmacoresistant epilepsy showed that 50% of patients had a more than 90% reduction in seizure frequency and 90% of the patients had a more than 50% reduction in seizure frequency. Also, parents and teachers reported increased alertness and parents reported briefer seizures in 30% of the patients.¹
